Yes but with no response yet, has been a few days too

Good evening all, I know this is a very random request (with how old it is) but I was anticipating that someone here might be able to locate me to the encrypted ISO password for the SIMS 2013 Summer-2 ISO? Don't worry, this is definitely not for a production environment lol. I am unable to find anything relating to it. Many thanks, Chris

All the setup files appear to be heavily outdated and was ran on an SQL 2008 Server. DB Attach is 1.43.51.0 however SIMS .net itself is up to date.
-
Alright, but either way SQL 2008 or 2012 SIMS is still not functioning as should do (i.e can't login with sysman)
-
This doesn't appear to be SIMS related because that file was dropped in 2012+ SQL from what I have read.
-
I have used DB Attath to attach a blank database
-
I have double checked that the connect.ini file is pointing to the SQL Server and it's all correct. As it's a blank database, I need to add users and when trying to login to sysman; it gives me the reason 0 error. If I try some random login details it gives me Incorrect Username / Password which is quite strange. Any thoughts?

I've had no success so far.
-
What do you mean?

Hi, I've just tried attaching a database to SIMS (via DBAttach in the BINN folder). I am doing this with SQL 2012; however I received an error 'Could not find stored procedure sp_dboption'. I know this was dropped in SQL 2012 so how can I fix this as it appears not to have installed the database fully.
-
I have contacted Capita and they have sent me the blank database I had needed; it’s an ldf and an mdf file. How exactly would I import these? Would I do it via DBAttach?
-
Right, stupid question (new to Sims), when you setup the database; where would you input the school details?
-
What I mean is that I want a blank system (no students, staff etc) but also have the tables on the database so sims works just as it would when it was first setup.
-
Yeah, but for this case only I want to have blank data (not for the main system of course)
-
Because I would like to have it completely fresh (without any of the current data)

Hi, As you may have seen from my previous posts; I'm quite new with SIMS. I'm now installing it on a test server (so I can get a better understanding of it) and I am wondering how I can make a blank database. This is probably a stupid question but SIMS hasn't actually installed a database into Microsoft SQL 2012. If you cannot make a database, would anyone be able to send me a blank database that I can just attach to the SQL Server? Thanks

[sims] System Manager "Invalid Startup Parameters"
Chrissy replied to Chrissy's topic in MIS Systems
Do you have an idea where I can get it from or if you can send me it (Unless it is confidential) -
Hi Guys, recently I've had some problems with SIMS but I've now got the database attatched and everything ready to go. However, since I installed SIMS; I didn't actually know what my login was (guessing because I don't even have a login as it's a fresh install) and tried to access System Manager. However, it's giving me the "Invalid Startup Parameter" error and I don't know any cause or fix. If anybody could give me some advice please I'd be most grateful.
-
Cheers, I've got the files now.

So recently, I had a problem not having the Setup Files. Well now I have most of them and was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to DM two programs that don't appear to be here; SIMSInfrastracture.exe (or a similar name to that) and SIMSAMPARKSetup.exe Cheers
-
Hi, yes we do use Solus 3 but it’s stating that it can’t connect to the CES network.
-
Yeah will do, you wouldn't know a fix for this. When I start up the manager, it gives me the invalid startup paremeters. This is one of the main problems.
-
Hi, the share drive is there and I can access it. The files are however not in the setups folder or any folder inside the setups and I don't think we have a backup, it's pretty mysterious. I do have SIMS currently installed but because of all the errors I wanted to reinstall it (as said in the first post) but because these setup files are missing; I am unable to re install SIMS.

Hi, I'm pretty new to this community so hello everyone! I've recently installed SIMS onto a system however the setup files had disappeared. I was going to attempt a reinstall of SIMS as I couldn't manage a way to reset some logins and the manager had suddenly stopped working. It's a lot of problems I know and all these errors popped up so sudden. Could anyone please give me advice, maybe even the setup files or someway I can redo all the SQL or reset the user accounts and fix the SIMS Manager. Thanks
