We had a completely new CC4 network install Last December. We had serious problems with botched installs. After 10 months it now works as it should. I would just like to say we were told not to add any trust relationships whatsoever to CC4 as it will break it. Then again it sounds like it's allready broke.

I have just had the same problem. I can confirm that Repair My Backup v4 Standard fixes the problem. It is available from Getdata. Payment was done using PayPal. £96 well spent. Nigel.

I agree with tmcd35. Why aren't people using 64bit. Both Intel and AMD use 64bit. Why run a new OS on an old dog. It will only slow up when you add more programs. 32bit is still OK for school use and word processing for now.

I think it is the best OS yet. I have the 64bit version on a Quad Phenom 2.4 with 4G of RAM and it flies along. Even with Norton 360 intalled.

Hi, I would imagine this is the same problem. Find the Application Data for your System Admin and delete the Sun folder That should fix it.

We have found the problem with RM CC3 and Java on Sam learning. It is caused by old files in the My Documents folder. Cleaning the profile doesn't clear App Data on RM. To fix the problem you can either do a search and delete on the H: or simply get users to delete the deployment folder under the following directory structure: My Documents My Settings Application Data Sun Java Deployment (delete this folder) It's that simple!

A temporary fix is to rebuild your stations with Java v1.5.09 and nothing newer. It does not work if you simply remove the newer versions and install 1.5.09. I am keeping the issue open with RM as it has to be a station security problem as it works on a non RM PC with the latest Java. Don't really fancy restoring 370 stations. Hope this helps some one else!

Hi All, We have a problem with Java and Sam learning. We are RM CC3 using IE7 Sam Learning was fine but has now stopped working with java problems. The strange thing is it will work when logged in as Package Builder but not as a student or Systemadmin. This is being tested on a clean RM machine with no A/V ond only the one version of Java. I have tried Firefox and get the same results so I do noy suspect IE7 or Java.
