Vacancy: We currently have a vacancy in London for a leading independent school, for an experienced IT Network Manager. Person specification: The successful candidate will have experience of working within an educational environment, have a track record of supporting teaching and learning and a track record of providing strategic leadership. Holding industry certifications such as VMware VCP (or higher), Citrix CCA (or higher) and Microsoft MCSE or have 5+ years of customer facing hands-on support, maintenance and installation with the technologies listed below: • VMware ESX/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V • SAN Technologies • Windows Server 2008R2 and 2012R2 • Exchange, Office 365 • Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop • Server hardware (preferably HP) • Active Directory, Group Policy and Domain Services • TCP/IP, VLAN, switching, routing and firewall configuration, VPNs and WAN environments • Corporate wireless systems • Virtual server backup technologies such as Veeam and vRanger It would also be beneficial to have experience of: • VMware Site Recovery Manager • Microsoft SQL Server administration • SharePoint • Anti-virus technologies • Web, E-mail Security • MIS systems, classroom management tools and teaching and learning applications and equipment such as smart-screens whiteboards etc. • Mobile Device and Application Management Applicants are required to have proven experience of technical project implementation and troubleshooting, possess exceptional customer service and communication skills with an ability to develop and build strong stakeholder relationships. Attention to detail is a must with a methodical and professional approach to service delivery including appropriate due diligence, planning, documentation and engagement with management, support staff and third parties. This key role will be responsible for the delivery and quality of IT support services on a day to day basis. This role requires line management and development of two on-site IT support staff, therefore, management\supervisory experience would be beneficial. Candidates with experience of ITIL based service management and/or development of IT services within an educational setting will have a distinct advantage. Remuneration & benefits -£42,000 - £46,000 -25 days holiday per annum (plus bank holidays) increasing to 29 days with length of service -Company contribution pension scheme, childcare voucher, cycle to work. Working hours: Operational hours: 08:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday (Staggered shift pattern). Occasional overtime may be required to meet the demands of the business. We have a vacancy based at an Education managed service client in Kensington, London for an experienced ICT Technician to provide support to all stakeholders (Teaching and Support Staff, Students, Visitors and Guests), provide overlay support partner sites and support the day‐to‐day running of the school’s ICT systems. Person specification: The ideal candidate should have a good logical approach to problem solving, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with an ability to handle administration tasks with accuracy and have a willingness to learn new skills. We are looking for someone with a broad experience of supporting an IT infrastructure with particular emphasis on end user devices and support within an educational environment. The successful candidate will have excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills would ideally have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, VMWare, desktop applications and associated hardware such as laptops, desktops, printers and peripherals. Experience of working within a structured IT support/helpdesk environment is essential with an ability to communicate with multiple audiences at various levels: SLT, teachers, support staff and students. You will also be involved in structuring, documenting, recording and presenting information and must be capable of managing multiple work streams simultaneously so strong time management skills are a must. However, occasional overtime may be required to meet the demands of the business. Location: Normal place of work will be Kensington, London, however, travel to other sites may be required.
