  1. Thanks for the reply. What do you mean for the delay for uncategorised sites, do you mean once allowed it takes 10 seconds? The iPad situation is an issue as we'd like to be able to assign specific filtering policies based on say IP or MAC to an iPad which i dont think is possible either.
  2. I'm interested to know is anyone using EXA for connectivity and filtering/firewall and if so how do you find it? Is it reliable? The surfprotect filtering sounds like it meets requirements and I've heard they now also offer an onsite filtering/firewall appliance, does anyone have any experience of that?
  3. Unfortunately not and not really had chance to dig any deeper with it, i was wondering if its downloading an update or something.
  4. Installing fresh straight from the windows iso and then the task sequence and gpo handle installing any software etc
  5. Has anyone experienced a Windows 11 deployment via MDT getting stuck on 'Getting Ready' with the windows logo and the little circle going round for ages? It does eventually move on but its on that screen for a while and really slows deployment down. This has only recently started occurring for me.
  6. Hi Guys, What would people suggest as the best method for sharing across multiple tenants, particularly if they all only have A1 licences? I was looking at Multi Tenant Organisation tool in M365 but that looks to require Entra P1 licences for every user. Is that still the most seamless way of each tenant working collaboratively without merging them all to one tenant or is there another way i'm missing?
  7. Yeh i have just seen you can connect Backblaze to the NAS, so that could be a good option then. I'm assuming Backblaze are fully GDPR compliant? From what i can see they appear to be.
  8. What are people using to backup their Veeam backups to the cloud? I have seen Backblaze which seems really cheap at $5 per Tb per month, does this work with the free community edition of Veeam and is their any hidden costs? Are there any other providers people would recommend?
  9. Thanks for the replies. Yes doing a manual snapshot works fine and there is enough space available. I have just tried restarting the VSS service on the Veeam server and then ran the job again and it succeeded but that may be a coincidence i'm not sure. It's strange because it may fail one day but succeed the next without anything changing.
  10. Has anyone had this error on Veeam when trying to backup VM's? It occurs randomly, it can backup fine for days and then fail for a couple of days and then start working again. "Failed to create VM recovery checkpoint (mode: Crash consistent) Details: Failed to create VM recovery checkpoint. Failed to call wmi method 'CreateSnapshot'. Wmi error: '32775'"
  11. Thanks guys, i was just unsure on the ease of restoring and whether AD etc would have any issues being rolled back. I have been doing some testing and installed the free Veeam on a VM to back up another VM, i'm not sure if it was how i'd set it up but found it would randomly fail on odd days and couldn't see why. Is this still the same on 2016? I've been testing VM's and backed one up via WSB in 2016 and it is letting me go back a week and showing the hyper-v VM available for restore on that date? The backup job was setup using the standard wizard in WSB.
  12. I just wondered does anyone use Windows Server Backup to backup their Hyper-V VM's? If so does it work well and restore ok? Also if you had a virtual DC and the physical host died, if you were to then restore that virtual DC from backup and restore it into Hyper-V on a new host would it boot fine and everyone be able to login fine as before or would it cause issues being restored or being put on a new host? Just trying to do some research before taking the plunge. Cheers
