Shoutcast is free, and tends to be very reliable once it is set up - I use it for a web based gaming community station I manage. There is a shoutcast plugin for winamp for the broadcasting side which is also free and works reasonably well. Just drop me a line if you want some more detailed advice.

I use Novatech occasionally, normally deal with Michael Foy as well. I had the chance a few years ago to have a look round the warehouse/factory at Portsmouth - was very impressed at the time, they do keep some stock PC's but they build a lot to order.

I'm currently working at a school which has been approached about becoming a rural academy - I've been assured that there will be no job losses and all services will remain under the schools control....of course, that doesn't stop the school purchasing a managed service.......

They've been talking about it a while - but they did show some of the basic modelling etc they've been doing ready for when they finally decide to implement it. Will be a while yet tho.

Well, that was a brilliant weekend...and having a press pass helped when it came to speaking to certain people - like Helmar and Oveur (god, that man can drink!) Looks like the next 'upgrade' is gonna be released on the 28th Nov - a lot of the stuff they are planning looks sweet too

Just wondering if anyone was lucky enough to be going to the EVE-Online fanfest this coming weekend? If you are, I'll be running the EVE-Radio crew (hoping to be doing a live broadcast!) - looks like it'll be a good weekend, would be good to see a fellow EduGeek or 2 there....

I entirely agree, both with the bank holiday idea and the remembering those living and dead who have put themselves in the firing line.
