I know this is a VERY late reply, but it is in fact possible to dual boot a CC4 and another OS on one hard drive. The process though is quite long winded. If you are still interested, please feel free to reply and I will give a walk through of the method required.

I actually have just helped some people build some DDR3 builds recently, I believe they are both on 16GB. I will get in contact with some of them tonight and see if they are interested. Cheers
