This is a new and exciting post; the successful applicant will oversee the College ITstrategy for the next phase of its development.
The successful applicant will be responsible for helping the College (Senior School andPrep School) to develop and implement comprehensive digital strategies that will meet theneeds of both pupils and staff. A key responsibility will be working with colleagues in thedevelopment of a plan for the integration of IT into teaching and learning and to supporteach curriculum area with the implementation of their plan.
He/she will take overall responsibility for the IT services provided to ensure that theappropriate support levels are maintained, and that the systems are reliable. He/she willbe responsible and accountable for developing the IT systems.
The successful applicant will manage the staff in the IT services team and the external support company relationship. He/she must workcollaboratively with all College staff to understand their IT requirements, and provideregular feedback to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
An ability to teach an academic subject is not a requirement, though knowledge andunderstanding of both the educational and digital world is essential. However, there is theoption to teach a reduced timetable if the successful applicant desired and is suitablyqualified.
