We have a few Win 10 machines doing this. We use Action1 and uninstalling recent Win updates solved it. They're getting replaced/binned soon but that worked for me.

Would you mind sharing a rough cost of Monitor?

If the school are happy get them to say so. Annoys me all this Google OR 365 stuff.

A school I took over about a year ago have a VOIP system on a seperate broadband contract to their main leased line. Have just found out that they're paying for another 40Mbps line that serves a number that nobody knows anything about. Office management is all pretty much new and there are no records at all. Spoke to the ISP who said they can't terminate until the school confirm that the line is no longer needed. It's not the alarm or managed heating system...any idea how else I can find out what it's for? It rings, no voicemail, just rings and rings..

Most are on LTSC 2021 as we updated everything from 1809 a while back! Looks like I will have to go back to it. Schools eh?

We use LTSC, have been doing for years, and support stops January 2027. This still isn't long enough for some schools who just say they have no budget. I've done my part, I can't control people who set a budget that doesn't include investing in IT even though they've known this was coming for some time. It's always the same story. Five members of SLT managed to afford themselves the highest spec MacBook Airs though at one site (that they don't need). Funny eh.

Always had Konicas and no real issues. Over they years I think the schools have tried a few different makes and always go back to Konica. One school went with RISO and now regret it. Cheap but Inkjet rather than Laserjet so quality very poor

I mirror the host disks for the OS and then RAID 10 for the main array.

We have a lot of i5 6th Gen PCs with TPM2 that are running Win11 24H2 without issue, deployed via MDT. They will be replaced eventually but not planning that any time soon as there is simply no cash (yet).

Hi, just after a little help re: licensing please. Looking to replace a server soon - currently have a physical host running Server 2016 and 4 VM’s with Server 2016 - and going to Server 2022 for all. Just getting quotes for hardware, and different suppliers are saying different things re: Core licensing and server licensing. For example, if the school were to purchase Dell PowerEdge T360 with Intel Xeon E-2346 that has 6 cores - what licensing do I actually need? The school have a VLSC agreement, so do I need windows server CALS or should these be included with the VLSC? This was all done by a 3rd party in the past, but not sure if they ever got the licensing right. Thanks in advance

Hi, just wondered if you could tell me more on how you got this working without enabling multicast - I'd rather not enable this as it seems to flood my network. Cheers.
