The antivirus didn't find a thing, Symantec updated. But I have found the cure on the net. This is the key that needs to be deleted... Hi, Does any one know about a virus that kills explorer.exe constantly (trying to re run it from run does not work) and it even does it safe mode also it seems to spread as 3 computers at one of the primary's we support all have the same symptoms. They have Ofsted coming in Monday so we are trying to get this matter solved today. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mauri

The software is on the network, the registry key links to a database belonging to the software on the network. I need to deploy the registry key so that the database path is on the machine so that when they try to run the app it knows where to look for it. Thanks for giving it a go

We have some new software and this is what it states "The first run of the software on any workstation will need to be executed by a user who has privileges which allow writing to the registry" I have the key all I need now is to know how to deploy it using GP preferably. Any other methods are welcomed apart from machine to machine visits as there are too many. Thank you all

Tell them to tick automatically detect settings.

Tell them to go on view available wireless networks, double click on their network (If they even know which one it is:doh:) and tell them to put their key in. Sky have their keys printed on the bottom of the router "Handy". If all that fails tell them something slightly technical to scare them off it usually works for me

We do yes. We simply add our settings by going onto network connections > right click your wireless connection > properties > wireless networks tab > under preferred networks ADD the settings that you want in this case work settings. I'm not sure how many profiles you can add but a good few at least does this help?
