Senior ICT Technician
Starting Salary: £25,184 - £28,326 depending on experience

Improve it Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced Senior ICT Technician to work within our ICT Services department in providing on-site IT Technical support in our contracted primary schools around Cambridgeshire and surrounding counties. You will be based at our Chatteris office but will be required to travel on a regular basis to various schools using both your own vehicle (paid at 0.35 pence per mile) or using one of our fleet vehicles.
The role will be responsible for providing excellent IT support, system development, adhering to policy and procedures as well as providing outstanding advice and guidance ensuring the schools IT systems are well managed in moving the schools IT development forward. All of the schools have varied IT infrastructures, hardware and software so you will need to adapt and be able to work at a variety of levels depending on the equipment you are working with and clients you are supporting.
Alongside fulfilling contractual IT support visits to schools, ad-hoc installations/upgrades and support will be provided to schools and businesses.
You will be required to have a good level of IT knowledge and experience in providing IT Support and although not essential, experience in working in schools will be preferable.
For the majority of the time you will be working alone, under pressure but you will be supported by a 3rd Line Support Team and our Head of IT who provides curriculum support to schools.

The role is advertised at 52 weeks per year with 28 days holiday (holiday to be taken outside of schools contracted visits) and includes other benefits including a bonus scheme. Due to being a fast growing company, training, development and opportunities for progression will be provided.
