Network Manager Full time
Guildford High School has long been at the forefront oftechnology in education. We were one of the first schools to have interactivewhiteboards in all our teaching rooms and we rolled out a 1:1 iPad programme toall pupils and staff in September 2014. The main roles of the IT team are tosupport the Senior Management Team in developing short and long-term strategicobjectives, and on a day-to-day basis trouble-shooting faults and managing thenetwork and systems proactively to reduce the number of faults happening.
The role of the Network Manager is as the senior technicalexpert and the manager of the IT team. It is a high profile role within theschool with considerable opportunity to have an impact on teaching andlearning. The IT team currently consists of an Assistant Network Manager, twofront-line technicians, one with specific responsibility for our Junior School,the Director of AV and the Database Manager. The IT team also benefits from thesupport of the United Learning Central Office team.
We are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking,well-qualified and personable Network Manager who can cope with technicalissues confidently as well as leading a team.
