Hi everyone.
This issue has been a pain in the neck for quite some time now and i hope someone might know the answer to our issue.
Our school is on a Windows 2008 R2 domain and we have a Apple Mac suite running along side it (with a Mac server doing the integration of course). On the mac server, workgroup manager is setup with 2 main network groups: All_Students & All_Staff. Both groups have the AD groups, "Students" and "All staff" associated with them.
There is also an Air Print brother printer (with the very latest drivers) installed and shared from the mac server.
Recently, the "All_Students" group has suddenly stopped being able to print. When a student account sends anything to ANY printer, nothing happens. When you check the print queue, you see that the job is Paused. You can't resume it at all but only to delete it. Staff and Administrators do not share the same issue. Both AD groups share pretty much the same attributes too!
Nothing has changed at all from both Mac environment and AD. I tried the following with no success:
Unbind and re-bind back to our AD
Installed different printers
Tried installing a print server software
Tried installing a cloud based (Google Print) print solution
Upgrading the OS to El-Capitan on both server and client side
Deleting and Re-creating the "All_Students" group under Workgroup Manager
Checking printer permissions on CUPS
Checking Sharing settings on Mac server
I probably tried other methods but can't remember anything else i can list here.
Anyone here had a similar issues and managed to solve this issue?
