  1. Get Wireshark: Wireshark: Go deep. Set your IP to 192.168.0.1 and your subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 leave your gateway and DNS blank Plug the dlink in to your PCs network port with a patch cable (you may need a crossover cable if your PC is older) Start capturing network traffic with Wireshark Plug the power cord into your dlink It may take a few lines, but you are looking for the dlink ARP. The current IP will be listed on that line. Once you get the IP for the dlink; set your PCs IP to the first three octets of the dlinks IP and choose something other than the dlinks forth octet for the PCs forth octet. Keep your subnet mask the same. Telnet in and it will ask you for a password. Hopefully no one set it. Just hit enter. You can figure it out from there.
