Proxy switch "proxy on" & " proxy off" software / reg edit Does any one know of a free piece of software to do this ? i have been through google and have not found anything suitable. What i want to do is have on icon were staff can click and run a program on there laptops that will, in school use the proxy in internet explorer and at home will turn it off. I know they can do this in the settings but, well, how do I put it.........erm ......it is a bit complicated for them. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers Gav

I have a selection of teachers that want to use clips out off purchased DVD's in their power points. Does any one know what the legall standing on this is as i am unsure. We are about to buy a Trust USB2 Digital PCTV and movie editor so they can pull out sections of footage to use (small clips) but before we buy i want to make sure i don't upset any licensing laws. Any advice?

Hi we have recently bought a load of TFT screens for our computers, this has left us with about 40 CRT 15 inch screens. the question is what to do with them. Our LEA charge £6 a monitor to dispose of them and i have found a company that will give them to charity @ £5 a monitor, but there musty be others ways of disposing of them (giving them away). Does any one know of anyone who would want them, or any bright ideas of what to do with them (no they don't maake good garden ornaments). Any advice or pointers would much apprciated. Hi, if any one has been to apple trailers recently you will know you need quicktime 7 to play most of the movies. Has anyone got quicktime 7 to work on CC3 as i have heard some horror stories about installing it, it not working and then being unable to uninstall it. or can i patch quicktime 6 to make it work? I have pulled the MSI form the installer, but before I deploy it I would like to know if any one has got it working Thanx

The missing attachment

Got my flash items to appear behind my menus thanxs all. my next questions is ..... As you can see in the attached picture you need to click the flash item before the links become active, i.e. click a link twice, is there a way around this? Thank you Gavin

They look very good, if they work over flash docs then i am interested in changing the site design. it may sound stupid but i couldn't get them to work on a blank document. Could you email me a demo of the working so i can manipulate it to fit my site. Thankyou Gavin [email protected]

Hi my website is http://www.hilbre.wirral.sch.uk and my drop down menus(which are on layers) go behind the flash banner. it is created using dreamweaver, can any one help as no matter how i organise the layers the flash is always at the front

We tried PDF Creator on a windows 2003 server. but it would not print i thought it might be a security issue. The PDF went into the print queue and that was the last we saw of it. can any one advice. with regard to are cc3 packages i can't get the package to create or install properly so havn't got to trying to use the software yet.

Has anyone created an MSI for a pdf printer that i can use on an RM CC3 Network i am having great problems getting onre to work for the new Dida course. i have tried Primo PDF, Cute PDF, FlashPaper PDF converter and Q PDF. i really need to get it sorted be for end of term (friday) Any help would be appreciaterd Thank you Gavin :?

I am having the problem of deciding which VLE to use, i installed moodle and at first look was a bit confused on how to set it up does any one know any good sites to help work out how to configure it for a school environmet. any help would be much appriciated

Dell are very competivly priced but i think there component quallity has reduced in the last couple of years. so i would recomend adding getting the warrenty so as not to be caught out As for Stone i have never used them for anything

Cheers guys, what i am after is somthing like a wasp system that the admin staff can use to track everything in the school that cost over £50, i am sure they won't mind paying some money.

Hi am new to the forums. i appologise if i have posted in the wrong place but can any one help? The school have asked me (Network Manager) to find a new inventory system for the school, at the mo they use an excel spreadsheet. not the most high tech method i know. We would like a hand scanner, barcode printer and different user accounts with different access rights, if any one can recomend a system that they use it would be much appricated. Oh and if the company do training that would be even better cheers and of course the finance department want it to be as cheap as possible (as always) Tahnks GavRob
