THE SOUTHFIELD GRANGE TRUST:
The Southfield Grange Trust is a partnership of two schools, Southfield School and Grange Technology College under a Single Trust, Multi-Academy Model. Both schools are co-located at the Southfield Grange Campus. Having moved to the new campus in June 2011, we have spent the last few years adjusting to our new facilities and the opportunities they have afforded us. Our new buildings are exciting; both schools have more usable space, larger classrooms and a wealth of improved facilities.
We have examined all aspects of our provision to take advantage, not only of exciting new accommodation, but also of a sense of refresh and change. Co-location (within the same building) between Southfield School and Grange Technology College enables us to meet the needs of the whole community – the two schools work in an integrated way and aim to provide a true ‘gradient of inclusion’ on the campus.
GRANGE TECHNOLOGY COLLEGE is a community secondary school in South Bradford. It is currently over-subscribed and serves over 1800 students (whole school) from a wide variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds, including around 350 at post 16. The majority of students are of South Asian heritage and we welcome an increasing number of students from Eastern Europe. Grange aims to ensure that students make excellent progress in their learning and academic results, as well as in developing the social and life skills essential to their future success. This is done through a relentless concentration on teaching quality, our curriculum and the effectiveness of the support we provide. SOUTHFIELD SCHOOL & PVC Southfield opened as a new school in April 2010 as part of Bradford Council’s Special School Reorganisation and is described as a ‘generic special school’ which means we welcome children with a very broad range of special educational needs and disabilities. Southfield has capacity for 220 students aged 11-19 years old. The students are supported, taught and cared for by a team of over 150 staff with a wide variety of specialist skills. As a special school Southfield has a very wide catchment area, and so is able to support families and children with complex SEN and disabilities across the southern half of the Bradford district and beyond whilst reflecting the diverse character of the district that we serve. Pathfinder Vocational Centre opened in September 2011 following re-development of the former special school building on Haycliffe Lane, in partnership with Grange and local colleges. This enables many of the 16+ students to follow courses in vocational subjects such as Catering, Horticulture and sport and Active Leisure, alongside other students with SEN, on the Campus, but as a progression from the traditional school environment.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Campus Data Manager to join our existing Data Team. The purpose of this role is to support the Campus Data Manager in leading, managing and supporting all aspects of Data, including information, assessment and examinations, ensuring an efficient, effective and proactive service to the Campus and supporting the overarching aim of continuous school improvement.
The successful candidate will:
Have a relevant business-orientated degree or professional qualification (or have equivalent experience).
Have substantial experience of managing MIS and developing the uses of such systems.
Have experience of working effectively within large and small teams, both as team member.
Demonstrate experience of staff management with evidence of leadership qualities in order to deputise for the Data Manager.
Experience of Progresso and of writing reports using SSRS/Report builder would be desirable.
