Yes I was thinking the same thing. But the security feature was not enabled. Would it still effect the device? Also, if the security is still enabled, I was given this projector because the company didn't want it anymore. How can i get the security codes? and thanks for replying.

Hello all. I have a NEC VT580 Projector. I've replaced the lamp inside and its powers up, no problem. But i've noticed it will not show any video images from a dvd player plugged into Composite or either of the VGA connections via computer. The on screen menus do come up. But, it will not allow me to adjust any of the color adjustments or vertical or horizontal adjustments. They are all grayed out. What does this mean? How do i get the projector back up and showing video? Your help is greatly appreciated. :-)
