  1. PaperCut MF is an expensive endeavor. I got a quote to upgrade our PaperCut NG to MF, 3000 users. We have 9 Thoshiba copiers. The quote was for just under $7000.00! We would have to save a lot of paper to justify the cost.
  2. I just came across this: https://www.guideone.com/safety-resources/lockdown-procedures-schools it states that you should "Be direct. DO NOT USE CODES."
  3. I don't disagree with you on that point. I've suggested that if they want to make an announcement, they need a code word that the staff are made aware of, instead of saying its a lockdown. I jokingly suggested that they just play the Star Trek "red alert" over the PA.
  4. I'd definitely be interested in trying it. Thank you for this.
  5. In our school, they actually make an announcement to say that the school is in lockdown and staff should follow the instructions in their emergency handbook. The handbook is located in every room in the school and instructs staff to pull any students in from the hall, lock the doors and move to an area of the room that cannot be seen from the door or windows if possible. All of our doors and windows have blinds that are to be closed during a drill or an actual event. Once the event is over, another announcement is made.
