Hi Guys - I completely understand the comments about the last two questions, unfortunately I have to give all respondants the ability to withdraw their information should they choose to after they've submitted in order to meet our ethics criteria
In order to meet ethics guidelines there needs to be a method of identifying a particular response without being able to identify the person from that response, two digits from a mobile number and mothers maiden name would make it very difficult for me to identify people from across the country whilst making it very easy for you to contact me later and provide me with the same information
We did look at other ways of identifying people but this is how the ethics committee would like it to be done (unique record number for each response could be lost/forgotten, make up your own code could easily result in duplicates).
I will pass back the feedback, anyone who gives false information on that last page, I have no way of checking up so that is entirely up to you (I cannot condone it obviously) but please remember what information you gave in case you do decide to withdraw from the survey
Many thanks to everyone who has already responded, I am already getting a good spread of data.
Also, well done to the person who managed to beat my data validation for the mobile phone number question. It's nice to know that some thought went into that one, this isn't a challenge for everyone else though
Mark
