  1. Damn, wish I had known you back when I was still going to that school 😄
  2. I already said this, but thank you so much thearcadeguy! That version he posted is the exact version I remember.
  3. The version I'm talking about was on a bunch of computers in the classroom with no network connection. And why wouldn't I be able to set up a database backend?
  4. Okay, but I don't see how that helps me actually get a copy. It's not like they just have a download available on their site, especially for a very old version. (Of course, if you found one, that's different, and I'd appreciate the link!) Not to mention, from what I can tell, while the name and purpose are the same, the newer versions are pretty much an entirely different program.
  5. First off, if this request violates the rules (related to "warez" or something, probably) I apologize; since the specific version I'm looking for is no longer sold, I'm pretty confident it would fall into the grey area of "abandonware". Basically, I used to go to a school that used this software called SuccessMaker. It was a really old version, even then. To give you an idea of what version I'm looking for, the icon said "CCC" (stood for Computer Curriculum Corporation) and when you opened it up, it asked you to log in, and had some space picture. If I remember correctly it was the surface of the Moon. Since I stopped going to that school (actually even while I was going there) I've always wanted a copy of that program to play around with at home just for fun. Lately I've wanted it even more for nostalgia. But no matter how hard I look, I haven't been able to find a copy of it anywhere. I emailed Pearson, the company that owns CCC now (they own way too much), but they were no help. Does anyone have access to a copy of the software? Maybe you work at a school that still uses it, or you have the disc buried in a closet somewhere? If so, please send me a PM or an email ([email protected]). I know it'll probably ask for an activation key or something; if you aren't able to provide me with one, I'm pretty sure I can figure out how to make it work without one, so that's fine. Again, due to the old version of the software I'm pretty sure it's considered abandonware by now, I also have no plans to use it in a commercial or educational (not even homeschooling) environment. I just want to play around with it for nostalgia. If anyone can actually find this and send it to me, you'll be giving me something I haven't been able to find for more than a decade, and it would be VERY appreciated. Thanks!
