My system was running for a while as a server/vnc box so I missed whatever early symptoms it displayed and never had the opportunity of backing up my drive. This is my first dead SSD though and the issue I'm having with the drive is actually a little strange to me. The system will momentarily hang (for almost 2 minutes) during POST and also during Window's detection of drives as if it's just having difficulty communicating with the device. Is this ordinary for a dead SSD or is it possible that something may have shorted out and I can still recover the data?
