  1. that's perfect! thanks so much for coming back to me. Yes we have Timetabler, we're just worried about getting up to speed with it in time to get our timetables built in it ready for September, we're should all be able to get it imported into Sims before migration date and then yes small tweaks like a staff member change could be managed in Arbor until we can get it the timetable into Timetabler properly.
  2. I know this is an old post but jumping in here as we are migrating to Arbor from Sims in the summer, our migration starts on the last day of the academic year but I can't fully get clarity as to whether the timetable for next year, if we have it imported into sims before the migration, would actually move over, our project lead in Arbor says no but others in the Arbor community site say yes. Please say it worked for your secondaries!
  3. Am very late to this thread but thought I'd tag on my query here. We are migrating over the summer from Sims to Arbor and I wondered if anyone else had done the summer move and if you had your timetable for next year in sims and did it migrate into Arbor? Arbor are saying it won't but other people on the Arbor community site are saying it will as long as you have the timetable imported in sims and you've run Apply Timetable process. our migration starts on the last day of the academic year. Upskilling 6 timetablers across our secondaries in time to build in Timetabler rather than Nova feels like a very big ask given it's now June! Any feedback greatly appreciated.
  4. @Norphy i know i'm really late to the party here but any chance of you sharing that Powershell please? just setting up the command reporter here and have used the batch file but I think powershell could be better to get the reports out into the office 365 environment (sharepoint would be fabulous!), am i right in my thinking?
  5. I've just spotted this thread and wondered if it ever progressed any further with integration, we're just looking at the command report utility and export for use with powerBi but if there's a better way .....?
  6. IT WORKED!!!!! thanks everyone for your help
  7. I've just come back in today and they have found some files but there is just an error when i try to open them. I'm just looking at your instructions for importing it from sims, i thought there would be a way but didn't know how. Thanks for the info, fingers crossed this works.
  8. I've just returned from my summer break to make sure everything is ready for September and have found that over the summer the C drive has been reformatted by our IT providers (without a back up) and this was where the most recent version of the timetable in Nova T was saved (along with the backup of it) Why the C drive? well i had noticed that it was saving timetable models there and over time had saved versions on the normal place on the Sims drive but my latest copy was on the C drive. I have a version that is 5 days old and lots of changes were made in the last week of term to finalise things, add roomings etc etc so i'm mightily miffed that i don't have this latest version. Any ideas anyone? can you reverse out a copy of the timetable from sims to nova? anything please HELP!!
  9. Can anyone give some advice please. i have set up auto scheduler for reports and have been doing some tests with reports. i can get them to run and turn up in my reports section on sims, however i have a daily report which is a detention register and i want it to pick up the pm attendance marks for students onto the report. Is there any way of telling sims that you want the date to me 'today' each day when it runs it rather than a specific date in time? I have tested this report over the last two days and the first day is fine and it has the correct information but the second day is still taking the attendance marks from the day before as i can't see how to tell it to always use the current date as the filter. Any ideas?! Emma
