We've pretty much rolled everything over to Windows 7 now. We also have machines running 2GB of RAM and the only issue we've found so far as that Office 2013 can get sluggish at times. Like IT_Ninja suggested above, we've put in a request to upgrade each machine to 4gb of RAM with a SSD increase productivity and prevent the students complaining too much.

Hi Guys, Sorry to bother you again so soon. We're currently trying to roll out the .msi for a Print manager using GPO. I have created the new GPO, put the .msi in a previously successful network location but it hasn't seemed to work. On an administrative account I thought I would try and run msiexec from the cmd prompt to install the msi to see if that would work but it just pops up with the msiexec window that gives you the switches you can use. C:\msiexec /i C:\Inepro DocuPRO 7 Desktop Client.msi Any ideas where I'm going wrong? I'm sure it will be simple. Thanks in advance.

Hi all, Just a little update. I managed to find the offending item by copying the policy and stripping it back one item at a time. User Configuration – Administrative templates – Windows Components – Internet Explorer – Browser Menus – Disable Open in New Window option This was set to enabled. As soon as I set it to not configured the issue was resolved. I guess the sites we're trying to open a pop up window maybe? Anyways, solved =)

Hi Guys, First post so please be gentle! Over the summer we migrated from a RM CC4 network to a standard Windows Domain. Not really knowing where to begin in terms of Group Policy we had a company come in and help set up our policies. Having been given some time to get to grips with Group Policy we have managed to change most things ourselves apart from one issue. When students try to access certain webpages via hyperlinks (or logging into a website) we get messages saying- 'This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator'. Internet issues.pdf If anyone knows off the top of their head which policy may be effecting this I would greatly appreciate a nudge in the correct direction. Thanks in anticipation.
