After hours of trying by myself I find an 8 year old forum thread that just happens to exactly describe and fix my issue. Cheers!

One of our staff is getting and error when she tries to generate letters from sims. Saying: Access to the path 'Y:\SIMS\attend\letters\temp\unexplained absences.doc' is denied. I've checked that she has the correct permissions on the sims drive and tried her on another computer where she got the same issue. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated as I'm rather new to sims errors Cheers,
