Hitachi ED-A100 Lens door error and door won't close.

We had the same problem on our CP-A100. It did turn out to be the motor gears (the last in the chain holding the lid). Here are some pics of the broken part; I have ordered another motor from : Xtra Parts I have yet to install it, but will update here when done!
