Thanks everyone. I totally agree with it being a lazy arse people issue. Just for the record....previous 'get out of doing it' ideas seriously suggested by the governors included each of them signing a document saying "I, such a governor, know I am breaking the data protection act, and take full responsibility when I get caught". The rest of us live in a world of encryption, password protection, etc etc - yet they find it totally acceptable to have the most confindential stuff sent to a home computer that has no encryption, no passwords....and usually has a single log on for the whole family...as well as all sharing the same email account. ...yet these are the people that sign our policies for e-safety/DP/AUP etc etc etc !!! Hi Guys, Got a problem with the school governors refusing to use/check their school - office 365 - email accounts. The council have come down hard on them quoting all sorts of Security/Data Protection reasons......and quite right to ! So, the compromise seems to be, is it possible that when mail is received to their school email address it triggers a rule (or similar) that sends a generic 'you have (school) mail' to their personal email accounts, so they know when to bother checking in to office 365's web app ?? Having serious problems on some flash websites with 9.5. To run some gallery content you need flash 8, and it's this combination that seems to be causing problems. Everything is fine if flash 7 is used, or flash 8 is installed but using SMART 9.1 Seen it affect Win98 and XP. col

Basically I'm just wondering if anyone has seen/knows that it's possible to boot with Windows boot CDs (such things as Ghost and Partition Magic/Partition Commander) on the new Bootcamp Imacs ? Had the guys from the Apple Computer Centre (from the conference last month) in school showing the staff what we could do if we had both XP and OS X worlds. From a technician's view I'm obviously thinking about ease of recovery if/when XP goes wrong. Any ideas ? cheers Col

I was part of the Beta testing for version 9, and none of the things I reported/was involved with......ie can't hyperlink if the web address contained a tilda (~), can't move solid shapes in Win98 - don't even get me started with text on Win98, none were fixed..............until this 9.5 version !!! col

Thanks for this Simon. I found XP to be trial and error whether it connected or not, but Win98 never. Currently talking with the 'chief SMART tester' at my LEA.....ok, so he's the ONLY tester - and I'm the only user ! But he has been saying that some of the new features (mainly to do with things that can be imported) don't work quite in the way that they should, a bit glitchy. Early days yet, I suppose col
