I don't think that's a good idea at least for schools of medical profile. That's already been tried. They started to come with two phones one of which they hand over while still being in the possession of another. If only they'd spend half of the time studying from exams, instead of trying new ways to cheat...

Hi! Given the fact the jammers are forbidden all over EU and that turning an entire room into a Faraday cage is not possible are there other options that can help a teacher preventing his students from cheating especially with devices like those eardrum ear pieces that use EM induction and which you take out from your ear with a magnet? Is there any tool like a cell phone detector that warns when near the cheater's ear? Or are phone detectors of any use in this situation (if the phone is nowhere near the student)? And is it possible to detect a cell phone which is on but on stand-by (not during a call)? Thanks!
