  1. The replies I have received are much appreciated and helpful. Whilst it is understood by me and other good teachers that IT setup is important, it is also important that communication is only part of a teachers job. The main priority is and will always remain the teaching and learning of children. If teachers struggle in understanding the world of technology then it is and opportunity for learning and not a place for testosterone wars.
  2. Sorry to be a bore but I am running out of options. I worked at a school in Bedford (Holywell Middle School) All teachers had a laptop and usernames; one for school and one for home. At school you joined the server. If you took the laptop home you logged on with a different username and only got local programs that were on the machine. You completed your planning and lesson preparation at home and when you logged on back at school with your school account the data transferred and all was well in the world. What is this magic and how can I emulate it down here in Kent? Any help greatly received KT
