About BigBri

  1. Since the great Smart rip-off we haven't relicensed the Smart Notebook application yet, but some staff have Lesson Plans saved in Smart Notebook, but I wondered if anyone has experience of opening the files in other applications (I haven't tried anything yet, just thought I would ask the question first).
  2. Unless very carefully supervised, ie. Having a user log for each device that the teacher (or issuing person, maybe a "Monitor") fills in before and after issuing to confirm that the device is undamaged. It still isn't fool-proof but it does improve behaviour and it promotes the user actually bringing any faults to your attention.
  3. My heart says Green as I'm getting older and the planet may die before my grandchildren My soul says Labour in a vain attempt at getting more industry and jobs My wobble is that I think we would be better out of the EEC
  4. We have experienced the problems related to Smart Ink in Smart Notebook (Blank space at the top of the internet page, incompatibility with MyMaths, Exampro and certain other sites) We found the best solution was to 1. Uninstall all of the Smart Software (I'm tempted to say put a normal whiteboard and pen in place, but no), 2. Uninstall ie10, 3. Update any graphics drivers 4. Reinstall ie10 or later and do updates 5. Re-install latest downloaded Smartboard software 6. Pay ransom money to Smart for a site license for the new Notebook license
