This script works great for me in terms of mapping drives. I was even able to map down to subdirectories (running Mavericks). I can access the shared subdirectory from Finder > Computer. The challenge I'm having is the alias created on the desktop is broken for the volume mapped to a subdirectory in the share:

The icon created for the Pickup share is the shared drive icon. I get just a blank page icon for the other share. Any ideas?
