Hi, Recently we've had two hard disk failures on two Sims.net machines. They have been rebuilt, all data restored through Attix5 but now it refuses to backup the sims database on both. The following appears in the log (log file attached) Message: 10:22:14 [sIMS/FMS Plugin] Starting SIMS Backup Message: 10:22:14 [sIMS/FMS Plugin] Loading configuration Message: 10:22:14 [sIMS/FMS Plugin] Backing up SIMS SQL Database Error: 10:22:14 [sIMS/FMS Plugin] Failed to backup SIMS database I've checked the sims plugin details and it all looks correct. Am I missing something?

We are trying to backup some files on a file share using Attix5 version 4.4.1, and we keep getting the following message: "Warning Failed To Read Security Descriptor for file E:\users...reason: Access is denied" This is only happening to files in this particular drive. We have checked permission on share and they are identical to backups which work fine and we have also tried with full access on the share which gives back the same results. Barring any issues to do with full access to the domain for the backup user account, what else could be causing this issue? Many thanks!

Hi, We have a customer who is using Attix5 backup professional v 4.4 Server Edition (online backup) for a number of schools. During August, they upgraded DbAttach from version 1.8 to 1.11 for each client and also performed a SIMS upgrade, just before the schools exam results came out. Since August 11th, they haven't been able to do any backup of any client SIMS database, and every client log file has the same error message shown below: "Error:18:00:01 [sIMS Plugin] The version of DbAttach currently installed (1.11.1.0) is out of date and needs to be upgraded - skipping SIMS database backup" It is obvious to me that the SIMS plugin is seeing the DbAttach version as 1.1 rather than 1.11. The minimum DbAttach version needed for a successful SIMS backup is 1.2, hence it is not backing up the SIMS database for every school server. Does anyone know if there is a workaround for this? Is this a problem with just the plugin, or is there something that can be done to adjust the version of DbAttach?? This is fairly urgent, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
