    Try any live cd of linux. If the problem persists, then it is a hardware related fault. If with linux, it works, then you had a software related issue with your windous. Your problem was near 2 years ago. But if any one had this problem later.... and not sure if it's windous or what... Give linux a try! It's FREE!
