Hi there
I am struggling to get Alice running smoothly over the school network.
I have copied the installation files to a network share and dropped a shortcut to alice.exe in a redirected start menu we have for students. Firstly the software failed to load and an error message stating 'there is a problem with the side-by-side configuration' popped up. I then looked in the alice\required folder and found a file called IfAliceFailsTryThis.exe which I tried. This file launched the software but an unknown error was displayed relating to access denied to a text file in Alice\Required\LoggingData. I looked in this folder and found no such file but there were other blank text files. Next I created a text file in the loggingdata folder with the same name as the error message and tried again. This time the same access denied error message popped up but to a different .txt file which, again, was not present in the logging data folder.
I then allowed students full access to the loggingdata folder to eliminate permissions issues but this made no difference.
Sorry for the essay but any help with this would be greatly appreciated, its starting to get on my nerves now.
Thanks in Advance
