  1. Usually when I do have problems the iPads will connect to regular websites fine but ssl sites fail and the proxy logs say bad password. It's as if the ssl username password for proxy is hidden away or not updated properly. I've reported it to Apple and they said it was a duplicate bug yet this was over the last couple of versions of iOS with both 9.1 onwards having random issues
  2. Everything is put in manually as they are BYOD devices.
  3. no certificate. join with a standard wifi key and proxy is basic auth with username and password and occasionally i have an ipad that womt work, but this year wih all the password changes ive run into nearly all of them having issues and not updating. which is a definite ios 10 making it even more of an issue.
  4. I've actually tried this along with resetting all settings and leaving content. I have no idea where else I could change or adjust to clear out these settings. Before it used to just say it can't connect, with ios10 it seems to just do a quick load and safari does gos back to a blank page.
  5. I've got a massive amount of iPads this year now the kids passwords have changed who are just failing to get onto the Internet. The proxy log just says Bad password, even after putting the proxy Auth and Username/Password under the Wifi Settings. The iPads are somehow caching the networks and proxy passwords and regardless to what I try and do, it just will NOT clear out or work. Does anyone have any ideas or had this before?
  6. We have an AD server which our Smoothwall authenticates all our users against. We have basic Auth with Smoothwall, and aren't using any SSL pages or anything like that. Randomly, and I mean very randomly, I'll have an iPad that will refuse to connect to ANY secure site. It works great on every other site however, and that's with authentication settings turned on under the Wifi Config. If I look under Smoothwall logs, I see real time filters saying 407 errors which is not authenticated. If I go and look at System logs, I can see that it says bad password. I can type in the password into a PC and it works fine. If I change the password in Active directory, it still won't work. There's nothing wrong with the password, because it's using the same credentials to get onto regular websites. It's as if Safari has remembered a wrong password somewhere along the line, and it's just constantly feeding that back to Smoothwall for authentication against all SSL sites. And it fails. Has anyone ever come across this? I've had it even persist with an entire iPad reset, so I'm not sure if it's a Smoothwall issue or not.
