  2. Applications are invited to join Marlborough College where you will report to and work alongside the ICT Communications Manager, supporting our Cisco and communication equipment. You will also be joining a busy ICT support department where you will also be expected to work as part of the ICT team answering helpdesk calls, logging and progressing solutions into the helpdesk system. The job will have a considerable amount of customer interaction both directly and via the phone and therefore good people and communication skills, as well as technical ability covering many technologies, are required. In addition to core Cisco Network Infrastructure skills the right candidate will have solid skills and experience with the design, implementation and interconnectivity of copper and fibre backbones. You will have good problem solving skills and be able to build Cisco switches from the command line and reconfigure them from a console. You will need to be experienced in maintaining core/distribution and access layer patching. 37.5 hrs per week, Mon-Fri (however some flexibility, including weekends, may be required). Salary range: £25-30k pa, depending on skills & experience.
