Hi guys,
I've recently completed a version of a website which has grown out of something I initially started for my daughter (7) after she told me she was asked in one of her lessons at school to write down on a sheet of paper 'what she wanted to be' when she was older. She had to give the paper to her teacher but wasn't sure what the teacher was going to do with it after that.
The idea of the site I developed (with some encouragement from my daughter ) is that a user registers an account, logs in, then chooses and saves what they 'want to be'. Their selections are saved on a timeline and there is an area to add content (blog) against the selections. After a period of time they log back in and select again - perhaps each term/year?
The site is at Want 2 Be
If anyone has any time to have a play on this beta version of the site and give me some feedback that would be fantastic, or even just feedback on the idea.
I genuinely think it could have a lot value in schools. Help children think about what they want to do. Something to look back on over the years. Not sure what I would have chosen - probably not software development
Thanks for taking the time to read this and even more thanks if you take a look and have a play!
Thanks,
Chris
