except for the part at the top of /includes/defaults.inc.php that says "// Please don't edit this file -- make changes to the configuration array in config.php". So you'd put the $config['frontpage']['order'] = array('status_summary', 'device_status_boxes', 'device_status', 'eventlog'); in config.php instead of editing defaults.in.php directly.
