Hi Guys,
Please find the belwo Bginfo configuration document, Its worked for me for 2 days in all the servers, but its throwing the error : do you want to create bg.bgi.
If i click on Yes, it will throws the error: Error loading \\bg\bg.bgi.
In all the server its throwing the error. Please provide the correct documentaion on this.
BGINFO Documentation: for 2008 server.
First download the BGInfo software on desktop & unzip the same.
Go to Root drive>Create a folder, name with BG, share the folder BG and give the Permissions to everyone (Read& Write Permissions).
Now copy the BgInfo software into the BG Share folder.
Open this path: C:\BG\BGInfo server, then run BGinfo,I agree.
Once Bginfo opened, Select Fields Choose the settings, go to File, Click on Save As: give the file name as: Bg.Bgi (Save it into Shared Folder BG).
Now you can see the BG desktop background.
Note: If you Logoff the server, BG Background will disappear.
Open a Notepad: give this path \\Hostname of the server pc\BG\BGINFO.EXE \\BGINFO\BG\BG.BGI /TIMER:0 /NOLICPROMPT
Save this file as .Bat format into Shared folder BG.
Copy the Bginfo.Exe file into shared folder.
Just double click on .Bat file, and then BG Desktop Background will appear.
If you Logoff the server, BgInfo desktop background will disappear.
To overcome this issue need to enable the Policy in Local Group Policy Editor.
Run: gpedit.msc>Expand User Configuration>Expand Windows Settings>Open Scripts (Logon/Logoff)
Right side, Double click on Logon>Click on add>Browse>select .Bat file, click ok, ok.
Run: cmd>Gpupdate, press enter.
Logoff the server & Logon the server. Now Desktop Background BG will appear.
Note: Whenever you connect a pc in RDP: go to Run: Mstsc>choose Options>Experience tab>Select the box for Desktop Background. (Then the Hosted pcs Desktop Background will appear in Rdp pc)
