Signed up for the forum just to contribute to the Bootpicker issue. I set up a 10.10 dev machine and also have issues with Bootpicker not showing up in the loginWindow. Damn shame too, because although it is an old application no other one does it as elegantly and for free. I even altered the OS screenshots to an image of the Finder and Windows icons. I'm aware of rEFIt and Bootrunner. Both of those applications are not suited for our environment. Someone has to be working on an alternative!
