Hello Everyone, Has anyone had any experience is making address lists from different OUs? Our AD is split up so we have: -Staff -Admin -Teachers -Non-Teachers -Other I want to create a address list of just Admin, Teachers and Non-Teachers. I don't want the Others OU to appear as this is staff that have left and some other junk accounts we use. Currently I can make one list for all staff, or three separate lists. I'm not sure why Microsoft did this but it's a bit of a stupid idea to not allow multiple OUs. I looked at the custom attributes and couldn't find anything that might help or point me in the right direction. Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks.

I can get this to apply to the workstations ok, but not to individual users. I have tried to use the loopback but it doesn't work regardless how it gets configured. I think we are just going to go down the route and completely remove the function for all users, we have just had five staff in complaining their workstations are running slow, upon checking they all had three users logged in with Outlook, SIMS and Word open... Thanks for the advice.

Students are not allowed to use teachers machines, we get some teachers using student machines as we have a couple of classrooms that double as offices. I have a group setup in AD for just classroom workstations so I can use that as a filter for a GPO but I wanted to run this as a user policy rather than a computer one. I have done a bit of hunting and it looks like it is only a computer policy.

Hi Everyone, I'm looking into the feasibility of removing "Switch User" function for students. It is causing problems with Impero and the 1 concurrent login limit we have set, along with machines running out of resources due to loads of students logged in. I want to keep it for the teachers as they find it very useful and it makes support a bit easier. In GMPC I can only see an entry for Fast User Switching as a computer policy, ideally this needs to be a user policy or only affect users. Has anyone has any luck in doing this or has any ideas? That was the issue, it wasn't locking the page and left it open for anyone to access the backend. Once I recreated the setup.aspx it worked. I have checked the rest of the site and it seems fine too. As I said, there were some odd permissions that got applied when copying over the HAP directory, even though I reset them I wonder if that might have caused the problem. I have had a quick play with HAP and IIS7.5 this afternoon and I can't replicate the error.

Hi Nick, I went through that but it would't work. I ended up creating a new file called setup.aspx and copying the contents over and deleting the original one. It seemed to work ok after that. I'm guessing it might have been an issue when extracting the files as I had a problem with incorrect permissions getting applied to the HAP folder. Everything is nice and secure now. Thanks

Hi Everyone, We have been using HAP for over a year now and are really happy with it. I've just upgraded to v10.2 and after a bit of playing around I have noticed that if you change the login url from /login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2f to /setup.aspx I can access the backend with no authentication challenge! Has anyone seen the same thing or something similar? Thanks Quick Edit: without entering any passwords I have successfully added an AD group to HAP and changed around the front page icons!!
