  1. Just a bit of proof that it isnt installed on this computer
  2. Still not working i am just gonna have to install it manually i think
  3. I did use this method but some computers got the policy. but i have just deployed target tracker to staff computers but and the when the computer turns on it comes up saying installing .NET framework 4.5.2 etc and then it says installing target tracker. but when the user logs on its comes up saying .NET framework 4.5.2 needs to be installed when trying to run target tracker?
  4. I have just got round to do this and still no go
  5. like so?
  6. ok so i have just downloaded it and placed the exe into a drive where i usually keep all my exe files / software. so do i just change the file path in that script?
  7. I am really new to this scripting stuff but after the INSTALLNET is that the code where you have stored the msi because i am assuming thats all i need to change?
  8. Hi Everyone, Does anyone have a working msi for .NET framework 4.5.2? Kind Regards
  9. @fairm010 do you have any basic instructions to do that?
  10. The reason why this has been suggested is so that we can see if a child is logged on as a student or staff user. The taskbar does not disappear If any software is loaded unless its in full screen but students mainly use microsoft office anyway so the taskbar is always visible. It's easier to identify if someone is logged on as a staff or student user. All students have the same desktop i didnt setup the network so im not too sure if they have a roaming profile but i dont think they do. The OS is windows 7 32/64 Bit.
  11. Hi Everyone! Basically the school wants staff to have a different taskbar colour to the kids. I have tried saving a theme and trying to deploy it through GPO but it failed. Anyone with another idea on how to do this with simple instructions are welcome because I have never touched registry or scripting before if that's what is involved to do this. Thanks!
  12. I know this is an old post but i am struggling at the moment with this install. i need to install it over the school. Issue is mine has a product key how do i install boardworks across the network if it has a product key? I tried to install to a staff shared drive but and create the shortcut to there desktop and comes up with an error saying "this product did not correctly install please contact your system administrator. the product ID is:" simple solution?
  13. @andyturpie your solution has just worked!! but yesterday I did try internet Explorer and it came up with the same issue but done it again today and now its fine. welcome to the world of I.T. But still is there an issue I am a newbie to all the technical stuff because I Have only just been employed as an I.T Technician at this school but with network manager responsibilities so yeah chucked in the deep end. Plus its a new network.
  14. Not really great with commands what is the result checker? But to be honest if it is a group policy issue then why only 2 computers at the moment why not all of them?
  15. Nope its a fresh new network not touched them settings. Has only just started happening and the primary domain error has started popping up but found a solution for that. This issue is just confusing me I thought I sorted it out yesterday but the same computer has got the issue again and now another one. Both computers are in the same room as well if that helps.
  16. Nope even IE has the same problem its just random computers but only affecting student users.
  17. This issue keeps popping up on student users. I go onto the admin account internet works fine. Log in as a student and the error "unable to connect to the proxy server" pops up. Any quick simple solutions to this?
  18. Ive left it as it is i reset my hub to factory settings and when i tick 2 certain options it all works and connects to the server fine. just that my computer at work might of turned off by its self so cant connect to it. As soon as i turn on the IPSEC pass through and PPTP pass through in the firewall settings it works but other than that cant do much until i go in tomorrow
  19. Can someone tell me what settings my superhub should be to allow me to access my computer remotely through the common RDP? A teacher at my school has the same superhub as me so she will need to configure some of her settings as well? I have the remote short cuts on my desktop and have the correct settings on them but something is stopping me from communicating to the school. My business manager has no issues but she is on BT so the ISP makes the difference but im pretty new to this so a bit of help wouldn't go a miss.
