  1. Hi, I run an ICT department at a school. We've just bought 16 EeePCs for the children to work with. We are looking to stick with the default linux based OS but would like to see if we can do a few things. Can we: 1) Have different usernames and passwords and tie it into our Windows network? For example when they are using the Windows PCs they login to a domain and have their own areas on the network to save work to. Would it be possible for them to do this? 2) Lock down the features the children are able to use? For example hide or turn off some of the icons that are avaible for them to click on. 3) erm, that's it. Thanks in advance for any help Chris
  2. I can choose either WEP or WPA from a dropdown. I put in the key and then nothing. The key I put in, in Windows, is required to be put in twice. And it's the same in Ubuntu. With Eee-PC it's only once. I have a feeling the choice of encryption I am choosing is limited. As though by default, an out-of-the-box Eee-Pc linux machine doesn't support WPA-PSK TKIP. Am I right?
  3. Hi, I'm trying to setup an out-of-the-box Eee-PC (4GB Linux) to work with a WPA-PSK TKIP wireless network. I can see the network I want to connect to. I can try and connect to it but it fails. What do I need to do to get this working? My windows machines are fine - and a Ubuntu laptop is also connecting fine. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks Chris
