Okay after looking at the registry I found that its not creating the defaultpassword key so I edited the user creation line in the batch file to include a password and then entered the password into the regkey defaultpassword line and it worked. I guess it didn't like t making a key with a blank entry.

I'm actively searching but failing to find an answer.

I'm having troubles on the same issue and was about to post when I saw this topic. I'm using a batch file to correct some issues on a few PCs that have already been deployed. This is not joined to a domain. A little help please? This is on windows 8.1

Thanks disk. I'm now looking into our settings and seeing if anything else is wrong. It seems that windows DEP is disabled on all of our systems. Is there any benefit to not running DEP? Is it something that should be enabled?

We are having a slight outbreak on our teacher computers. Vosteran is being installed even though they don't have admin rights. After its loaded it attempts to execute more .EXEs and CMD prompts. It also tries to default the home page to a proxy services provider. I'm sure some of you have encountered this PUP before but have any of you experienced an outbreak? Any helpful tips in blocking this?

I've built an image for HP minis 5101 and captured it on our WDS. It was deployed on around 100 machines. During deployment there was a small % that had an issue as described below. After PXE boot and choosing image the install would begin. The windows % spalsh screen would readch 100% The machine would reboot but load a failed system shutdown prompt and asked you to select safe mode, safe mode w/network, last known good or normal. After selecting normal boot it would get to the first setup page (region time/currency keyboard layout) After clicking through this one you should be able to name the PC and create a user name but it reads "Choose a user name for your account. Your computer's name is managed by your organization's system administrator." I'm guessing this has been setup by mac address, UUID or asset tag on the WDS. How can I clear this out or locate these settings to edit on the WDS? Or is there another possibility? Thank you in advance for your help on this.
