  1. We have been using a company called DeRep for our written reports, and I must say we have been extremely impressed with the software and the support they offer, nothing has been to much trouble for these guys. Teachers can log on online and complete their reports in minutes! and from a setup point of view it takes very little time to import the classes I managed to import kS3 and KS4 classes in under an hour. I can easily import the comments from excel into a SIMS marksheet ready to use with our individual report templates. From a data managers point of view DeRep has helped me streamline our whole written reports process. If anybody is interested please see the link below, if you want any further advise on how I have set this up in SIMS send me a PM I'm more than happy to help. https://www.derep.net/
  2. KB84854 Cover 7 - Working pattern is not correct Affected Products: Cover 7 Cover 7 - Working pattern is not correct KBA-05031-F7F3N4 Notes SIMS .net | Focus | Person | Manage Classroom Staff | Open Any Staff Record - Go to 3) Organisations Tab | It shows working pattern of staff as per the timetable. A change of cycle which includes a change of start or end time on the day does not automatically change the start/end times of the working patterns of staff who work all day. Working pattern is not correct Working Pattern Please see KB111293 for information on changing period times in the cycle Workaround Patch 13271 has been created to update the most common working pattern for the members of staff according to the new start times and end times exported from Nova. The start time of someone's working pattern will only be changed to the new cycle start time if their original start time matches the common working pattern and is later than the new one. The end time of someone's working pattern will only be changed to the new cycle end time if their original end time matches the common working pattern and is earlier than the new one. i.e. working patterns are extended, not reduced, by the patch. Please find a DBDiagnose script included in the patch zip. When run, it displays a list of all the members of staff whose working pattern would be updated. Run the script via DBDiagnose. DBDiagnose's default location is C:\Program Files\SIMS\SIMS .net. Please contact your local support provider for a copy of the patch and script. This patch needs to be requested if it is required. It will not be included in a release. We recommend manually changing working patterns where the patch has not made the required automatic change. However, this is only necessary where the working pattern does not extend over periods where the person may be required to do cover.
  3. Capita used to provide a patch that would update your working pattern based on times defined in your timetable cycle. Im not sure if they still provide this might be worth giving them a call?
  4. Hi There. Its normally a permissions issue with OPTIONS located in the networked sims drive. The user wishing to use options will need full read/write access to the OPTIONS folder. Failing that double check that you actually have the Password.dat file in the options directory.
