Senior IT Technician (2nd line) – SW London / Croydon * URGENT * Up to £27,978 dependent on experience (initial 6-month “temp to perm” contract) THIS IS AN URGENT REQUIREMENT - Ideally to start 9th April 2021 Our client, a large co-educational school in South West London / Croydon have an urgent requirement for an experienced Senior Technician to take responsibility for the day-to-day direction, supervision, organisation and support of the school’s IT systems and services. Timetabler – Independent School (Hertfordshire) * URGENT * Circa £35,000 (FTE) plus generous benefits (pension, lunch, parking etc.) Permanent position (Term Time + 2 weeks) to start as soon as possible Our client, an independent school in Hertfordshire are looking for a Timetabler who will be responsible for constructing the Senior School timetable under the direction of a member of the Senior Management Team and ensuring the production of a timely and accurate timetable, identifying improvement opportunities and implementing solutions to existing issues. This is term-time + 2 weeks role, one of which will be the May half term. In addition, during May and June this role will require a commitment to work for periods of long hours including some weekends. Reporting to the Deputy Head, Academic Performance - the Timetabler will: · Manage the production of the Senior School timetable, whilst working with colleagues to maintain and update the timetable throughout the school year. · Advise the Senior Management Team on timetable issues and identify / resolve difficulties in relation to student and/or staff timetables. · Determine option blocks for A level choices; GCSE choices; Year 9 Creative subject choices and Y7 language choices. · Determine the number of teaching sets required for the options for staffing planning. · Liaise with Heads of Departments over staffing allocations. · Manage the system of rooming. · Work closely with the MIS Manager to upload the timetable into the Management Information System and to check pupil timetables. · Liaise with the MIS manager over setting for the new academic year. · Deal with and resolve any timetable issues arising at the start of the academic year. · Maintain and adapt the timetable for internal / external requirements and pressures when required, including re-writing parts of the timetable (i.e. to accommodate a long-term absence). · Carry out ‘proof of concept’ exercises for the Senior Management Team when major timetable reorganisations are proposed. · Continuously consider enhancement opportunities in relation to the Senior School’s timetabling. · Manage the daily organisation of cover within the Senior School. · Provide classroom cover for absent colleagues and exam invigilation.
