I have a couple of Macs which have disappeared from my network and may have been "borrowed" by a teacher or student. I'm trying to track down the last user login. I have the computers using El Capitan with Profile Manager and Open Directory. All accounts are set up as Mobile (no syncing) so they have to log in the first time on network but can log in off network. I can tell when they were last on the network (using Unifi), which matches with the Profile Manager log's last known push. But the PM log doesn't seem to show user and if there's a way to look in the OD or LDAP logs I can't figure it out. Any help welcome! I have all computers on iCloud, but one of them has strangely dropped off and isn't showing in my list of devices. The other one shows as offline (I've ticked the alert me when it shows up box). I manage a public charter school in California, and when our school was set up many moons ago we were put on one of the free Google business accounts which supported something like 100 users. Since then they've rolled out the educational/classroom setup which based on my daughter's experience with it (at a different school) it looks great. I had been putting off dealing with this until summer but we're running out of space so now it's becoming a little more urgent. My questions: 1. Yes! Need similar help. We bought a bunch of new MacBooks and of course the newer Pages which comes with those (5.6.1) is NOT compatible with the older Pages on the older MacBooks (5.5.3). I can actually copy the entire 300+MB file over wifi using ARD but it's of course very slow and any interruption kills it, or I can do as you have and manually log in to each one and update the apps. I thought also maybe I could try making a DeployStudio event which copies the file over and have the students manually update... But I agree there has to be a better way. Den

Hi all, first actual post here - love the great commenters here, so hopefully someone can help! Short question: has anyone else noticed that the test uses a lot more bandwidth than SBAC claimed? Our elementary school took the practice test for the California version of the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium online student achievement test. According to our specifications and the bandwidth tester from SBAC, our school is fine with our 20MB fiber line. However, when time came to take the test, I found we were often maxing out our internet connection for much of the period with only 80 kids on. I'm going to lock down other usage of the internet during our next testing period to make sure I'm not getting interference, but I wonder has anyone else noticed the usage is a lot heavier than SBAC had predicted? I even had a couple of computers give the dreaded "unable to establish a connection with online system" message and drop the kids for a short while. We're on Macs (mixed wired iMacs and wireless MB Airs), 20x20Mb fiber, Ubiquiti wifi. Thanks! Den
