many thanks for your technical endorsement of Lexmark, but they have moved on so far they are unrecognisable now to most outside the company, Tesco, PC World, Vodaphone, Currys, Santander you need to ask the question why do 90% of major retailers and over 70% of the worlds leading banks use Lexmark these people not only look for low cost, but high reliability as well

i agree in most part with Michael, but one real issue will be cost as well as a culture change, the answer i think is somewhere in the middle, sort out the correct printer in the classrooms (poss b/w only) or a heavy duty model, paper-cut embedded with teacher control and less monies on a MFD for the staff

it amazes me that no one has mentioned Lexmark after 40 years with Ricoh, Canon, Sharp, Minolta, none of them come even close when you want a PRINT Solution the world has moved on from centralising printers to MFD, although you would not think so with most suppliers still down that road, think de-centralisation + paper -cut
