Salary: up to £25,000 p.a.
Full Time, Fixed Term Contract
6 month probation contract in first instance
London Connected Learning Centre is an education organisation with a long history of supporting the use of innovative learning technologies in schools. We are looking for an ICT Technician to work on a full time basis to support our Technical Support Service offered to London schools and to assist the technical team within the centre.
The role will involve hands on technical support in schools and duties such as preparing computer and audio visual equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience of first and second line technical support. They will be organised, hard working, and willing to learn on the job. Attention to detail and the ability to document all tasks undertaken is key to the role. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to explain technical solutions to non technical users. Experience of working in an education context is desirable.
The candidate will have a good working knowledge of Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2 and 2012 as well as Windows 7 / 8 and Office 2010 and 2013. Experience of server management (i.e. Active Directory and Group Policy) is required. Understanding TCP/IP networking and being able to troubleshoot wired and wireless Ethernet networks is extremely desirable. Experience of Apple Mac operating systems and software is desirable. The candidate may have their CCNA, Network Essentials, IT Essentials, A+, MCTS, MCITP qualifications. All relevant qualifications and experience will be taken into account, so please mention anything that might contribute to the application.
The candidate will be capable of working independently and of using their initiative and should have a full UK driving license.
