  1. Not using Tahoe yet as the version of Sibelius we use isn't guaranteed to work. I wish it was only 30 seconds - left one hanging overnight and it still didn't go through! The main config is done through JAMF, which I don't have access to; however, our IT provider doesn't really "do" Macs so it gets left to me to sort out. I've got local admin access so doing what I can with that!
  2. Hi all. Anyone else come across this issue? We have a suite of 28 Mac Mini 2023 M2 models, and we're getting some of them just randomly hanging on the login. Doesn't matter what account you use, even local admin, sometimes they'll just sit there after you put in username/password and refuse to load. I'm removing old user profiles and making sure they're updated to most recent version of Sequoia, but it doesn't yet seem to be making a huge difference. Any advice?
  3. Steve, that's really useful - thanks for that!
  4. Hi all. Does anyone have any reading on the Government's requirements for AV in schools - I'm focusing on classroom AV (screens, visualisers, etc) at this point. I've been told there isn't anything specific, but wanted to check in with people on here to see what they think. We're putting together a new strategy document, primarily focused on IT (as always), but wanting to include AV as part of it so we can actually ensure it gets kept up-to-date and up to scratch, rather than being everyone's last-minute thought, other than mine. Any links or comments would be greatly appreciated!
  5. Another day, another query... We've just installed 12 CleverTouch Plus screens in one of our Primary Schools, and our staff have noted that when they're trying to run Flash games on IE that involve dragging it just scrolls the page. Is there a way to either lock the scrollbar or get the screen to recognise that it needs to be dragging things rather than scrolling?
  6. Hi all. I had a look around the net and on here, but couldn't find an answer - were the warranties for Smart kit supplied by Steljes rendered void after they went into administration? I suspect I know the answer, but it's always worth asking. We should have had a year left on ours, and I've just had a pen tray fail. If they're gone, I'll just have to see if I can get one from somewhere. Cheers.
  7. I've got an issue with a couple of Smart document cameras, the 330 series. They will output an image from the camera absolutely fine to the projectors, but when you try to switch to outputting an image from a connected laptop it comes up with no signal. Sometimes it will give the message "Not supported, H: 48.30 kHz, V: 59.93Hz"; other times it has blackscreened or flickered. Weirdly, it seems to blackscreen if you put the laptop into "Lock". I'm presuming it must be the VGA input on the visualiser, as I've done a direct patch from the laptop into the projector which works absolutely fine. Does anyone know a workaround for this, or am I looking at replacements?
  8. Hi all. We're having some issues with our Epson EB-475w projectors at the moment. They were only installed around 18 months ago, but so far on a site with 64 projectors we've had 19 develop a fault whereby they start flickering. Having spoken with Epson and had them onsite (where they were nonplussed and admitted to not having seen this before), they took away a unit and determined that it was the lamps that were failing, less than half way through their expected lifetime. Seemingly, it was a bad batch of lamps, and they offered to replace any that started to flicker. However, we are now getting units that are starting to flicker again after having only been replaced a few weeks ago. This is somewhat worrying, and is an H&S concern as we have at least one student onsite who has photosensitive epilepsy. Has anyone else had any issues with these projectors? I'm getting Epson to come and site visit again, so we shall see what they say.
