  1. RM caches up to the last 1000 logins. Check the network connection - Login as SystemAdmin "ping chs-sr-002". If you can ping, delete the local profiles from the machines. Try healthchecks and profile resets on the server. Check disk space on servers and on workstations. If you have multiple servers - it could be that the other server is authenticating the login but the profile is on a server with a faulty NIC.
  2. Try this:- http://www.edugeek.net/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=439&highlight=liberum We use the Liberum software, it's nice and easy to install and works quite well.
  3. I would not be prepared to allow SIMS over VPN/Thin Client without authorisation from the Borough and also Capita. I would ask for Borough to provide staff training, and write minimum specification / security documentation. I would also require a new contract from my boss to say what level of support is provided for this extended service, and what hours of support are provided. Down time would have to be planned further in advance to take into account remote workers. Good luck to you.
  4. The MsgBox "4372" forces focus, and thus means the box cannot be avoided. The version I have written clears up after itself if people aren't logging out correctly. I did think about putting the passwords into a separate file or by writting them in hex, if anyone has any ideas of best way of storing these details then let me know.
  5. I have been working on a version of the script that logs access, prompts the user to ask which machine they wish to log out from, and also works with RM CC3. I have been using it for the past month or so, and it is working well. logoff.vbs login.vbs
