    World Cup!

Hart, Johnson, Jagielka, Cahill, Baines, Gerrard, Henderson, Lallana, Rooney, Barkley, Sturridge I would have Ox in ahead of Brakley if he's fit but it looks unlikely. I would have Sterling coming on about an hour or so in to inject a bit of pace but I still don't think he's ready to start games. Lambert coming on if we ever look like we are heading for penalties.

    World Cup!

I think Barkley looked okay but needs to learn to release the ball earlier to bring other players into the game, Joe Cole was similar when he was young but matured. Colombia could be interesting although I think Falcao has been ruled out which will be a big blow for them. I did the world cup predictor earlier and I got Brazil v Germany in semi final 1 and Spain v Argentina in semi final 2. A Brazil v Argentina final in Brazil would be a great game

    World Cup!

I think the double red card showed why sterling hasn't been starting games for England, he's still got that inexperience and in major tournaments players will try and get you sent off. I'm a Southampton fan and I think exactly the same with Luke Shaw, still to inexperienced for the big stage. I think last night showed that defensively we're not strong enough (although was a 2nd rate back 4) but going forward we do have a bit about us. I think we will get out of the group however I wouldn't mind being knocked out at the group stage if we play well, I just don't want a repeat of 2010 world cup of boring football and staggering through.

    World Cup!

Spain are a decent shout because they'll keep hold of the ball and in that heat and humidity that could be the difference, having said that I would never count out Ze Germans.... Saw an interesting bet today Aguero to get the golden boot and argentina to win the world cup 33-1, worth a few quid

    World Cup!

Hi everyone, as the football world cup is a week away I thought I would see who everybody thinks is going to win it..... Safe money would be on Brazil, but does anyone think that any teams are going to surprise us. I personally think Argentina will win it and I think Uruguay will do well
  6. I saw it on the BBC Sport site, but it's the same thing
  7. That's exactly the point of the thread..... As I said at the start, the president of Fifa (who made the decision to host in qatar) has now come out saying it was a mistake. The point I was making was that the whole thing is a farce, not anything else
  8. How much they get paid is irrelevant, but I was waiting for a standard "They get paid loads so who cares response"..... The fact is whether they are paid 50p a week or £50,000 a week, they should not be playing in 50 degree heat. It will also ruin the spectatcle for the millions of people watching worldwide as the performances will certainly suffer.
  9. I think it would be difficult to stage all the games at night, as they tend to have some during the day and some at night usually, so having them all at night would make it last longer I'd assume. I do take the point of Moto GP, same with the F1 race that happens in abu dhabi, but having said that they aren't doing potentially 7 races in less than 30 days.
  10. Sepp Blatter has admitted that deciding to award the 2022 world cup to world cup my have been a mistake..... Really??? Do you think??? I'm sure a world cup in a country that tops 50 degrees in the summer will be absolutely fine. I'm hoping that this may be the end of blatters comical career
  11. Thank you everybody for your replies and information, it's been really helpful and I think we have made a decision Thank you again Edugeeks!
  12. Thanks very much Edu-IT. I think the main concern is the support. Obviously this isn't something that you can find out about until you're live. We've never used any systems like this so I think that the support is going to be vital. The pricing we've had from all of the companies is much of a muchness and the systems all seem to be relatively similar..... How has the support been for you guys?
  13. We had a look at them and they looked good, I'm glad to hear that it works well as you never know from a demo, the proof is in the pudding
  14. I hadn't looked at Schoolcomms as I thought they were more for texting, so thats interesting to know
  15. Hi Everybody, I've been researching payment systems for our school and I just wanted to see what peoples oipinions were.... I've had demo's from a few and it all looks good, but I would like to see what peoples experiences are first hand.
  16. 0% Northern..... I have lived in Southampton my whole life so it would make sense lol
